Now's the time to become a member of Hidden City! We've created a series of special experiences for Hidden City members only (and their guests) that we're calling BEHIND THE STORY. But you have to be a member to attend! ***CLICK HERE TO JOIN***

Step back into 1927 for a visit inside the Lansdowne Theater and make sure you bring your cameras! This stunning Moorish Revival Theater, which Ben Leech profiled in the Hidden City Daily last year, was designed by prolific theater architect William H. Lee, and is one of the few remaining movie palaces of Hollywood’s golden age in the Philadelphia area.

The tour will be led by Matt Schultz, executive director of the Historic Lansdowne Theater Corporation. Matt will discuss the restoration process and the ambitious campaign to reopen the theater. Participants will then be able to wander the space and take photographs.

The Details: Tour will meet at the Lansdowne Theater at 31 N Lansdowne Ave, Lansdowne, PA. Tour time is approximately one hour.
