After 30 years of disuse, the Manayunk Bridge officially reopens this month for cyclists and pedestrians. Join Hidden City and Spoke Magazine for the third tour in our four-tour series we're calling "Bikesplorations."

We’ll take in the new views of the Schuylkill River, and explore remnants of the old river town at Flat Rock Dam and Venice Island. Across the river, we'll ride on the newish Cynwyd Heritage Trail and visit the other, larger Laurel Hill Cemetery.

We’ll meet at the Fairmount Park parking lot next to the Wissahickon Transit Center (4900 Ridge Avenue) at 11am, ride about 15 easy-to-moderate miles—don't worry, we won't be climbing The Wall on this ride. We’ll also stop for refreshment at a local brewpub along the way. Your guide will be Hidden City co-editor Brad Maule, who wrote about the opening of the Manayunk Bridge in the latest issue of Spoke.
